Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I'm walking 125km during September to raise as much money as I can for CHSF.

My grandson Otis, was born on Christmas Eve 2022 with TGA (Transposition of the great arteries). This is a rare and serious congenital defect where the aorta and the pulmonary artery are swapped around so he needed life saving surgery very quickly. It was undiagnosed in pregnancy so it came as a huge shock to the family and he was taken to Leeds where he had open heart surgery once he was stabilised. The medical team were fantastic and the CHSF provided essential support and accommodation for his parents and helped to ease some of the pressures of this very difficult time.

After his rocky start, Otis is now a healthy lively little boy, although he will always be a heart patient and continue to have regular hospital visits.

We are so grateful for this outcome and I'd like to raise as much as I can for this worthy charity. Thank you so much.
