Simon On The Streets provides emotional and practical support for people with complex needs who cannot or will not access other services. Within that group it focuses on people who are homeless and rootless, especially those with issues related to rough sleeping.

Story

Our beautiful Chesca Joy died unexpectedly at the age of 34.

Chesca always stood on the side of the oppressed, specifically supporting all women, domestic abuse survivors, young people in care, and homeless people. She dedicated her time and energy using the performing arts to tell stories of some of society's most vulnerable. Her compassion and kindness towards individuals in these communities really changed lives. Simon on the Streets is a local independent charity based in Leeds, offering unlimited emotional and practical support for homeless and vulnerable people.

We kindly request that instead of flowers, a donation to this charity Chesca believed in, and her creative company Imagine If supported, would be gratefully appreciated.

About Simon on the Street

Simon on the Street offers unlimited emotional and practical support for homeless and vulnerable people to enable them to achieve their goals.

All our services are delivered on an outreach basis directly on the streets. We deliver our outreach during the day but also in the evening and in the early hours of the morning when many of the most vulnerable are struggling. We want to support an individual to achieve their own goals and aspirations whatever they may be.
