Francis and Helena Madden set off on Palm Sunday on a pilgrim journey of over 2000km from Vézelay in France to Santiago de Compostela in Spain. They are cycling on a tandem with a trailer, following as closely as possible the Way of St. James, an ancient Christian pilgrimage route, whilst also raising awareness of and funds for the work of the local charity "Stories of Hope and Home”.

We are just about to start the last 200km or so and face a few long days and ascents before reaching Santiago.
