Frank Hilton 1945-2024

After several visits to Solway Aviation Museum, Frank became a full member in 2015.

During his time in the RAF he had flown Vulcan XJ823 which sits well preserved in the museum grounds. He helped maintain the exterior paint work, was able to advise on the history of the aircraft (especially its service in Cyprus), but he was more often found showing visitors round the aircraft and telling tales of what it was like flying this iconic aircraft.

Solway Aviation Museum is dedicated to protecting our aviation heritage and educating others, and to this end works with local community organisations.
