Story

⚽ More Than Football. More Than A Game.

Every Sunday, Black African families come together through UCOMM’s Great Tackle Project to play football, build friendships, support one another, and create a stronger community.

What looks like a simple five-a-side session is actually a safe, welcoming space where families connect, young people stay active, and isolation is replaced with belonging.

But we can’t do it alone.

Our sessions are fully volunteer-run, and on 31 May 2026, UCOMM volunteers will take on the AJ Bell Great Manchester Run 10K to raise £2,500 to help fund: ⚽ Pitch hire
