We are raising money for the Motor Neurone Disease Association, all money raised stays on the island to help people with this disease.

My friend, Barbara Machon, recently passed away from this illness. We first met at First Tower Primary school, and later when we both had baby boys a month apart, spending most days together as our boys became good friends.

Our rowing crew have all met each other through coastal rowing in Jersey. Frankie Le Quelenec, Christine De Heaume, Sue Clinton, Sue Cubbon, Tina Tidy and Lorraine McClure - our combined age is 369! All the ladies wanted to raise money for MNDA after l told them about Babs.

What are we doing?

13 July 2024 - Gorey to Carteret coastal rowing race – 27km row from Jersey to France

20 July 2024 – Sark to Jersey coastal rowing race – 27km row from Sark to Jersey

7 September 2024 - Around the island – 55km row around Jersey, starting and finishing in St Helier

(All these races are weather dependent)

19 – 24 August 2024 - Canal du Midi Rally which is 167km over 5 days, with 41 lochs crossed on foot as we are not allowed to go through in a rowing boat.
