We’re Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM), and we’re a suicide prevention charity. We host a helpline for people affected by suicide, as well as vital online resources for anyone who needs them.

Story

Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) is leading a movement against suicide. Every week 125 people in the UK take their own lives. And 75% of all UK suicides are male. Sadly our big brother Chris became one of these men in June 2023.

When Chris was 15, alongside his best friend walked, from Coventry to Portsmouth to the battleship HMS Victory in aid of raising money for a local special needs school. In his honour we are walking the same route to raise money for CALM.

CALM exists to change this by offering life saving services, provoking conversation and bringing people together to reject living miserably.

From advice on their site, through to free, confidential chats with their helpline staff, online or on the phone, they here for whoever needs then, every day. No matter what.

£8 is enough to fund one potentially life-saving call.
