Douglas Macmillan Hospice (Dougie Mac) is the only hospice in Staffordshire supporting Children, Young Adults & Adults. Care is given to patients who are living with a life-limiting illness at our two sites and in the community. We also provide support for patients families and their carers.

Story

Frankie's Nannie (Karen) sadly past away 10/07/24 due to Small Cell Cancer! The last few months of Karen’s life Douglas Macmillan (Dougie Mac) helped in keeping her comfortable at home and making sure they were always on hand to support and help Karen's 4 children.

Frankie said to me one evening that she wants to help " Poorly people like Nannie" she loves walking and has already climbed/walked local hills and points of interest in the Peak District area, so we decided Snowdon, Frankie knew Wales was one of Nannies favourite places and also one of the last places Nannie managedto travel to.

Let's help Frankie who is only going to be 6 when climbing Sbowdon make a huge huge difference to people lives. ❤️
