In 2025, in aid of YLVC, I am taking on not 1, not 2, but (you see where I'm going with this)... 3 half marathons in one month!

Why?

When a child is diagnosed with cancer, the sense of fear can be overwhelming – for them and their family. Fear of treatment, financial strain, and facing it all alone. Every day, 12 more children hear the life-changing news.

At Young Lives vs Cancer, we help families find strength. Together, we can help them face it – but we need your support & donations.

Every £ you can spare and every share to Facebook or a WhatsApp group chat will make a very real difference to the brave boys and girls that are facing the toughest challenge of their young lives so far!

My Mission

So to raise funds for the vital support YLVC offers children nationwide, I will be running these 3 half marathons across a 4 week period:

How will my money help?

· £9  could mean a parent could take their child to chemotherapy and not have to worry about the costs of petrol and parking.

· £26 could pay for an hour of a Social Workers time. Whether they organise grants for the family or are there to offer a listening ear, our wonderfully dedicated Social workers are there from the moment a child or young person is diagnosed with cancer.

· £60 could pay for a family to stay overnight in one of Young Lives vs Cancer’s Homes from Home, providing free self-catering accommodation near to specialist children’s cancer treatment centres, which are often many miles from a family’s own home.
