So Fraser has been inspired to run to raise money for a charity that has become close to our hearts.

In the month of April, Fraser will be running a total of 100km, which is no small fete for his little legs!

The Brain Charity help people affected by all forms of neurological condition to lead longer, healthier, happier lives.

There are more than 600 conditions affecting the brain, spine and nervous system. They are the only charity in the UK to support every single one.

Fraser himself is currently undergoing an assessment for Autism Spectrum Condition. He has always been “quirky” and “one of a kind” and going through this assessment is now helping him to understand how he sees the world and the challenges that he faces. He wants to raise money for a charity that supports many neurodivergent conditions, including the one he potentially has.

For the past 7 years we as a family have watched our Gran/Great Gran succumb to Alzheimer’s. Where once she was a bubbly pillar of the community, she is now a shell. Support not just for those suffering, but for their families as well, is vital when navigating this debilitating disease.

In February of this year, our “Mantie Mandie” was very suddenly taken ill after suffering from double brain haemorrhages. Although she never regained consciousness and sadly passed away a few days later, her memory lives on. The Brain Charity work hard to help those lucky enough to survive this to lead happy lives.

Each year, they provide practical help, emotional support, and social activities to thousands of people from all over the UK and their family, friends, and carersm.

They champion neurodiversity and fight for an inclusive and just society, free of stigma, hardship and isolation.
