Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page and to read the reasons why I've decided to help raise money for a charity so close to my heart, Cancer Research UK.

Personally, my family have suffered losses by this terrible illness but I've also seen people survive it. My Dad has been diagnosed with 4 different types of cancers over the years and thankfully he is still here with us today at the age of 85!

As a family, we've seen first hand the amazing work that the people at the Christie Hospital and Cancer Research UK do and the treatments that are now available today, helping battle and beat this terrible illness. Raising money to keep funding the vital research needed to invent new medicines to help beat cancer is crucial.

So many people are affected by cancer today, and sadly 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with a form of cancer. To try and help people in the future, I'm taking on multiple challenges/events over 6 months to help raise money for Cancer Research UK and in support of a colleague and friend, Gary Morris who is currently battling bowel and liver cancer - you can do it mate!!
