The Yorkshire Arboretum is a beautiful garden of trees in rural North Yorkshire, inspiring visitors with natural beauty, enhancing their well-being, educating people of all ages about trees and the natural world, and conserving our collection and the rich native biodiversity of our 120 acre site.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit Anne and Andrew's JustGiving page.

We're adopting a tree at the Yorkshire Arboretum in Fraser's memory (https://www.yorkshirearboretum.org/). Fraser was a frequent visitor to the Arboretum, and adopted a tree in memory of Margaret in 2012. Fraser's tree is located close by to Margaret's.

The tree, an Algerian oak (pictured) was planted in 1979, a few years after the arboretum was established by the Castle Howard estate.

The tree will be marked with a commemorative plaque. All tree adoptions are recorded in the registers displayed in the Arboretum Visitor Centre.

Your gift will also support the work of The Yorkshire Arboretum. As a small, independent charitable trust, the Yorkshire Arboretum depends on donations and fundraising to support its commitment to inspire, educate and conserve.
