Story
We lost Sinead on the 27th of November 2024, aged just 34.
Sinead was my wife and my best friend. She was also an incredible doctor, dedicated to helping people.
Heartbreakingly, Sinead was diagnosed with Melanoma in March 2024. It seemed to be a very aggressive case that just got the better of her, despite her being one of the toughest people I have ever known.
After taking very unwell on the 17th of November, it just became too much, and she was admitted to the Highland Hospice on the 19th where she spent her final days.
The Highland Hospice was incredible. To me, they are more than just people doing their jobs, they are angels.
Now, determined to channel my grief into something positive and create a legacy for Sinead, I want to give back. It feels like the only way I can thank the Hospice for what it did for our family in the darkest of days.
My goal
The Highland Hospice needs to raise £8,500 every single day to provide its vital services across the Highlands. That is why I have set a target of raising £60,000 this year, to give back for the seven days of care Sinead received.
To do this, I will be completing different challenges and hosting different events throughout the year.
First up, we have a half marathon row on 1st February, with a number of teams also signed up to take part at CrossFit 57 North.
I will be running Inverness Half Marathon on 9th March.
In June, I am going to complete 180,000m over three machines (RowErg, BikeErg and SkiErg).
£60,000 is a big target and this is only the beginning.
I appreciate every single donation. Thank you.
With gratitude,
Frazer
