Story

In April 2024, I am embarking on a trek to Everest Base Camp as part of Team Uprising. Team Uprising is made up of survivors of childhood abuse by teachers at the boarding school my brother Ross and I attended in Edinburgh. Tragically, my brother died in a car crash when he was just 24. We will remember him as we walk through the Himalayas.

Together, we are united in our mission to move forward from the pain of the past. While two members of the team will continue on to attempt to summit Everest, my goal is to complete the 70km trek to Base Camp (and then make it back!). This journey is not just about conquering mountains; it's about finding healing and closure.

We are all fundraising for the NSPCC, the leading children's charity fighting to end child abuse in the UK. Your donation will be supporting their vital work. The NSPCC helps children who have been abused rebuild their lives, protects those at risk, and works tirelessly to prevent abuse from happening in the first place.

Please join me and Team Uprising on this journey towards healing and hope by supporting our fundraising efforts for the NSPCC.
