Both personally and professionally through Classic Builders, I/we have been so proud over the last 12 months or so to be able to support Hugs Charity and the incredible work that they do. I have met the Hugs team and have listened to the stories of so many family’s journeys that really do put life into perspective. These children are incredible, and I am in awe of the strength and positivity they show, while going through every parent’s worst nightmare.

The Strictly HUGS Dancing event has given me the perfect opportunity to really challenge and push myself out of my comfort zone, all for a great cause. I’ve had my fair share of injuries and physical set-backs over the years including a snapped achilles in one leg, a ruptured achilles/calf in the other leg, two dislocated shoulders, and it’s a well-known fact and many people know about my dodgy ham strings! These are fade into insignificance in comparison to what these families are dealing with. It’s easy to put obstacles in the way and say we are too busy to take part in these things, but we can all do our bit to make the lives of these children and their families a little bit easier, and I’m so proud to be a part of it on behalf of Classic Builders. Nikki Bowden at Bowden Physio is helping me to continue preparing my body as much possible to make sure I’m fit enough to take part, although sadly she can’t do anything about my two left feet!
