Story
We’re gearing up for an incredible challenge on Sunday, 17th August, to climb Mount Snowdon and raise vital funds for Diabetes UK, a cause very close to our hearts.
Our son Freddie (9) was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at age 5 and also has autism. He’s been dreaming of this climb for a while and has already walked Pen y Fan to prepare. An experienced hiker told us Pen y Fan is just a walk compared to Snowdon, which is definitely a climb and a hike!
Freddie will be joined by his amazing sister Lola (8), who’s his constant cheerleader, plus mum (also living with Type 1), dad Tom, and close friends.
Every step and every donation brings us closer to funding life-changing research, technology, and support for people living with diabetes. Freddie and I (his mum) use Omnipod and Dexcom G6 — tech that has transformed ours and so many lives thanks to organizations like Diabetes UK.
We’d love your support, whether that’s a donation, a share, or even joining us. X
