Story
We are Phil & Hannah Goodwin, proud parents of our two beautiful boys, Freddie and Rupert.
In 2022 we received the devastating news that Freddie had been diagnosed with MPS III-A (Sanfilippo Syndrome), a rare genetic metabolism disorder, otherwise known as childhood dementia. As the disease progresses, it will take away Freddie’s ability to walk, talk and eat, eventually taking his life before he reaches his teenage years.
As it stands the MPS Society is the only UK Charity that supports families with children who have the disorder.
This year we are hosting our first fundraising event, Freddie’s Army Charity Dinner, to raise awareness and funds for Freddie and his Sanfilippo community. Freddie’s Army Charity Dinner will take place at Wood Lane Farm, Hollins Green, Sandbach on Sunday 2nd June by kind permission of our family friends, the Ollier Family.
We have a fun filled family afternoon in store, including a 2 course meal, bar, auction of promises & children’s entertainment to name a few.
We are writing to ask you to support our event, whether this is by sponsorship, a donation of auction of promise or raffle prizes, purchasing a ticket to the event, or by simply spreading awareness.
As a family we understand time is so precious, and we are grateful you have taken time to read this letter. If you would like to help us hit our fundraising target of £15,000 or purchase tickets for the event, please get in touch via our email below or call Hannah on 07974 086311.
