Story
I'm Freddy and I'm 7 and I volunteer for Home Run Hounds. I like to raise lots of money to help look after the dogs and find them homes and I wanted to do a big challenge to raise big money.
This summer in August when I'm not at school I will walk 100km (not all in one go).
I moan if I have to walk much so this is a big challenge but I'm excited to do it for Home Run Hounds!
A bit of waffle from Mum:
Home Run Hounds has become a very special part of our lives in a short space of time.
Not only have they given us two incredible boys that we adore, but through our volunteering they have given Freddy a sense of belonging that in turn provided him the confidence to do life. Yes charity is about giving, and we give our time, we fundraise, we work hard at kennels, but actually what we have received is so so much more.
And so we will continue to give, and give, to this incredible charity, a charity that is 100% volunteer ran, not one single person gets paid a penny, they are all in it for the pure love of and dedication to those dogs!
Greyhounds as a breed and HRH as a charity changed my son's life, so let's do our bit to help change theirs....
