In September 2023, I found a lump in my wife Gem’s left breast. It turned our world upside down.

Gem’s journey has been difficult. Chemotherapy, mastectomy, central lymph node clearance followed by a full lymph node clearance, Radiotherapy and 10 years of medication.

Breast Cancer Now reached out to Gem when they heard of her story. They’ve provided support and guidance and even gave her a starring role on their Facebook and Instagram platforms by handing over control of their socials for a day.

In the summer holidays of 2025 to show support to Gem, Breast Cancer Now and to raise money for this vital cause, I will be riding from John o’Groats to Lands End on my bicycle.

In addition to this, Gem and my daughter Darcy have agreed to be my support vehicle so this challenge is very much a family affair.

Every donation, no matter how big or small, will contribute to the life-changing work this charity does.
