Story

On 14th February, Freya and her family are hosting a charity ball to raise money for Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital.

For the past six years, this hospital has played a huge part in Freya’s life. During her childhood, Freya underwent two brain surgeries to remove a benign brain tumour that was causing unexpected seizures. It was one of the most challenging times her family has ever faced, but thanks to the incredible care and support from the hospital’s staff, Freya has come through stronger than ever.

Over the years, Freya has built close relationships with many of the amazing people who cared for her, and now she wants to give something back — to say thank you for everything they have done for her and countless other children.

All proceeds from the event will go directly to MediCinema Appeal at MFT Charity, within Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital to support the incredible work they do every day.

As a charity our mission is simple: to support the excellence in treatment, research and care we provide to our patients each and every day. We want to make a real difference to the people we treat – young and old – by making sure that they continue to receive the very best treatment in the very best facilities.
