We don’t think anyone in our community should have to face going hungry. That’s why we provide emergency food and support to local people who are referred to us in crisis. We are part of a nationwide network, supported by The Trussell Trust, working to combat poverty and hunger across the UK.

UPDATE 27/04/2024

Firstly, thanks everyone for your support so far!

My run training is behind schedule because Nick selfishly decided to get married and organised a football match for his stag do so I’ve been prepping for that instead.

Most of our runners will be there, though, and it will be a great experience. It will be a great point to start transitioning to a “distance” mentality and get those long runs in and shed a few extra pounds if I can.

Still plenty of time to go.

The long-suffering organiser of our regular Manchester-based Friday football game is running his second half-marathon and has encouraged us all to get involved.

I’m coming along for the fun, but if he (or other Ballers) finish faster than me on the day, I’ll add to my initial £100 donation.
