Story
For those of you learning about Frankie’s story for the first time, here’s a little bit about why Friends of Frankie was created.
Frankie was the most beautiful, smiley boy you could ever meet. He absolutely loved life, everything was exciting to him.
He was happy and healthy and we are so lucky to have known him for 3 years and 4 months.
One Saturday in May 2019 Frankie was tucked up in bed with a story and a cuddle and checked on as usual.
In the morning when we woke up, Frankie was unresponsive in his bed and had passed away in his sleep.
We still don’t know why this happened and there are families who never find out why their precious child passes away suddenly.
Friends of Frankie was created shortly after Frankie fell asleep and the money we raise helps a charity called Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood (SUDC UK) with their mission of making these tragic deaths predictable and preventable through important research.
SUDC UK also support families who find themselves in this horrendous position, guiding them down this upsetting, confusing and unbelievable road.
I was and still am so determined that Frankie will have a legacy here on earth while he guides us from up above.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. Please know if our charity is picked it will help build Frankie’s legacy and he WILL save children and help them to be with their families for longer.

SUDC UK is a registered, national charity dedicated to raising awareness, funding research and supporting families affected by Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood (SUDC).
SUDC is the sudden and unexpected death of a child aged 1-18 years where the cause of death remains unexplained after a thorough investigation. 40 children are affected every year in the UK, more than young child deaths due to traffic accidents, fires or drowning and comparable to 1-2 seemingly healthy children dying every fortnight. Thank you for your support.
