Brighton Half Marathon 2024 · 25 February 2024 ·

The Friends of Lewes Victoria Hospital (FOLVH) raise funds to support NHS services to deliver excellent care in the community. We have raised more than £6 million over the last fifty years. In the last five years, we have donated over £800,000 to improve equipment and facilities at the hospital.

Story

FOLVH are continuing the theme of running and as part of the ever continuing need to fundraise, we have a wonderful team of runners running in the Spring in two popular local marathon races, Team FOLVH will be joining the Brighton Half and the Brighton Marathon to complete our Spring Marathon Running Grand Slam Fundraiser.

The first part of the Spring Running Grand Slam began with the Brighton Half Marathon on Sunday 25 February 2024. The first team that ran the BHM included: Jane Holford, Sarah Pearson, Martha Walsh ( sharing this page) and the team for the BHM also includes Esther Jones and Dylan de Bernardi Jones - who have their own Friends of Lewes Victoria Hospital Just Giving page set up.

The second part is The Brighton Marathon on the Sunday 7th April 2024. The Team FOLVH Marathon running team for this part of the Spring Marathon Running Grand Slam includes: Andy Perris, Rob Dyke and Steven Lloyd. This has a separate fundraising page.

All in all, Team FOLVH are fundraising for these items this year:

Point of Care Blood Testing Equipment

Theatre Lights and Camera

Ophthalmic Camera (Optical Coherence Tomography)

Bone Density Scanner (Dexa Scanner)

Thank you very much !

We would be pleased to have sponsorship for this worthy and much needed cause for the local Lewes hospital and community services.
