We have partnered with a local NGO in Armenia: www.sosewomen.am, who are assessing and addressing the needs of the displaced. Initial focus: basic essentials to get them through the harsh winter; then skills training and micro start-ups. Resources are scarce and they need all the help they can get.

Story

Friends of Armenia, a UK registered charity, are kindly fundraising for SOSE NGO in Goris city, Syunik region, Southern Armenia. This fundraiser is to support Friends of Armenia's efforts so we can together achieve the target to produce 100 'WINTER CARE PACKAGES' for 100 forcibly displaced Armenians from Artsakh living in Goris.

Each pack contains a winter blanket, duvet, bedding set and gilet jacket. They will be sewn by resettled female employees at ‘Harmony Home’ social enterprise, (set up by SOSE NGO). They cost 40,000 Armenian Dram to produce or £80, €93 or $100 (at today's FX rates)

100 packs have already been distributed thanks to a fundraiser in October and we appeal to your generosity so another 100 can be sewn and distributed as the long and harsh winter sets in.
