Story

At Frimley Health, we are proud to have a large and valued Nepalese community working across our Trust. Many of our colleagues have family, friends and loved ones in Nepal, and we know that the devastating floods in August have had a profound impact on them and the communities they care about. At times like these, supporting one another matters. Through our Together for Nepal campaign, we want to show our solidarity, compassion and support for colleagues who may be affected directly or indirectly by this tragedy.

Hundreds of people, including children, are missing, many have died, and entire communities have been devastated after sudden flash floods struck Nepal's Rasuwa district, as well as parts of Tibet.

Families have lost loved ones, homes and livelihoods in a matter of hours. Many people have been forced from their homes and are facing an uncertain future as search and rescue efforts continue. With communications disrupted, the full scale of the disaster is still emerging and the number of people affected is expected to rise.

The best and quickest way to support those affected by the Nepal floods and other emergencies around the world is to donate to the British Red Cross Disaster Fund. The British Red Cross is already supporting the response to the devastating floods in Nepal and working alongside the Nepal Red Cross Society to assess needs on the ground and provide assistance where it is needed most.

Donations to the Disaster Fund can be used wherever and whenever they are needed, helping communities respond to immediate crises and begin the process of recovery and rebuilding.

Thank you for helping us stand together with our Nepalese colleagues and their communities during this incredibly difficult time. Every contribution, no matter how small, can make a difference.
