Bowling for the Air Ambulance — 24 Hours, One Incredible Cause
The Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance is there when it matters most — delivering life-saving critical care to patients across the region, often in their darkest moments. Last year alone, the service responded to nearly 3,000 incidents, with each mission costing around £3,500. They receive no government funding. Every flight is made possible by people like you.
That's why Frome Selwood Bowls Club is stepping up. On the weekend of 23rd–24th May, Ladies Captain Kathy Kingman and Club Secretary Mike Bishop will take on an extraordinary challenge: 24 hours of bowls across a single weekend, playing from 9am to 9pm on both Saturday and Sunday.
It's going to be tough. It's going to be long. But it's nothing compared to what the Air Ambulance crews face every single day.
Every pound you donate helps keep this life-saving service in the air. Whether it's the price of a cup of coffee or something more, your generosity makes a real difference.
