Story
In 2021, during the heart of the pandemic, I ran nearly 3,000km in just 12 months — dressed in wild, joyful, head-turning costumes — and raised over £7,000 for SAMH, helping shine a light on mental health when the world felt darkest.
But my story started in pain.
🚗 I was hit by a car.
💔 My wife and I suffered three heartbreaking miscarriages.
I was drowning — until I started moving.
Running gave me hope. Costumes gave me a way to connect.
And mental health became my mission.
Now… I’M BACK. Recharged, reimagined — and more determined than ever.
🔥 THE NEW CHALLENGE
🗓 June 2025 – December 2026
🏃🏽♂️ 50KM every single week — running, walking, cycling
🎭 In full costume — every step
❄️ A cold shower after every session
🛁 A freezing cold bath every week
📍 Rolling through Aberdeen, Montrose, Dundee, and Glasgow
💙 All for SAMH — because no one should struggle in silence
This isn’t just about fancy dress and funny looks.
It’s about visibility, vulnerability, and saying:
“You are not alone.”
We lose 36 people a month to suicide in Scotland. That’s 36 too many.
Let’s move for them. Let’s speak up for them. Let’s fund the help they never got.
Whether you donate, cheer, or join me in costume — YOU are part of this.
🎭 Bring colour to dark places.
❄️ Freeze for those hiding their pain.
💙 Move for mental health.
Support this mission. Support SAMH. Let’s change lives together.
