Team FSS are running the Knaresborough Bed Race on June 10th and most importantly raising money for a local Dementia hub based in Burton Leonard which is supported by the charity “Dementia Forward".

Our journey with the bed race started in December, trying to find a “bed”. Eventually we found an old one in a lockup that had been sat there a few years. In January we started work on it , by March a paint job, handles, new wheels and it was ready. We have been running since February , training in all weathers and you’ll find us now , on a weekday evening, running round Knaresborough practicing with the bed.

We are supporting a local Dementia hub in Burton Leonard which belongs to a charity called Dementia Forward, so every penny you donate will be going to a good cause.
