Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am honoured to be fundraising for Kings College Hospital Charity’s Paediatric Liver Family Support Fund by taking on a challenge climbing Turkey's largest and most iconic snow -capped mountain, Mount Ararat(5.137m).

This breathtaking and historically significant mountain is located in Eastern Turkey, near the borders of Armenia and Iran.

Mount Ararat is more than just a peak. It is a sacred symbol of history, mythology, and natural wonder. Revered across multiple cultures, it is believed to be the legendary landing place of Noah' s Ark, standing as a testament to resilience, faith, and exploration.

The climb holds even deeper significance for me, as Mount Ararat is only 100 miles from my birthplace, where I spent my early childhood.

Over the course of five days, I will be ascending from 2,000 meters to the summit, trekking across rocky slopes, high-altitude meadows, and permanent ice fields above 5,000m. The final summit push from 4,200 meters will take between 5 to 7 hours, with temperatures fluctuating between +30°C to -20°C, depending on the time of day. The altitude and challenging terrain will test endurance and perseverance, but reaching the summit will be a moment of triumph worth every step.

I'm thrilled to take on this challenge, not just as a personal achievement but as a way to support families and children in the King’s College Hospital Paediatric Liver Service. King’s Paediatric Liver Service is only one of three in the country, and many of the children come from all over the UK and abroad for diagnosis and treatment. Some children may need to spend many weeks and sometimes months as inpatients, separated from their families, friends, and all that is familiar to them.

Not only can the experience be a stressful and anxious time for the children and their families, there is also the added pressure of hospital living costs, travel expenses and accommodation costs if there is no charity accommodation available. I am hoping to help ease the stress and alleviate some of the financial worries many of the families contend with.

It is a privilege to embark on this journey so close to my roots, combining adventure with purpose. I am proud to be part of the Paed Liver Team, and I will carry this cause with me every step of the way.

Through this climb, I hope to raise awareness, inspire others, and celebrate the incredible beauty of Turkey.

Your support, no matter how big or small, will make a huge difference to our families.
