My Mother Beryl Betty Jannece neè Mathews

My incredible mother was born in 1933 — a young girl during the war, shaped by the strength and resilience of those times. She lived through a century of change with elegance, kindness, and quiet courage.

Having one love in her life she married my father at just 21 years old, a match made in heaven,

Sadly at the young age of 49, my father passed away, heartbroken she carried on with unwavering grace, finding meaning and beauty in every day until she was finally reunited with him at 91.

She was beautiful inside and out — gentle, dignified, and endlessly kind. She never spoke ill of anyone and always had a kind word to offer.

She adored her children and Grandchildren and was always there for the family.

Her warmth touched so many lives, and her memory will forever brighten ours.

This page is dedicated to her, and to helping others affected by Endometrial cancer — in her honour, and in the hope that her compassion continues to make the world a little kinder.

For this reason, I will be walking the Santiago de Compostela in her memory again this year, just as I did last year. All money raised will go towards cancer research.
