Story

In June 2023, my fun-loving, sparkle-shining and kindest Auntie Sarah passed away.

In memory of the gorgeous Sarah Morgan (nee Gilling) I will be running the Cardiff Half Marathon 2024 for a Charity close to Sarah - Action for M.E.

Even though, I have unfortunately been hit by a few knee injuries I am determined to cross that finish line, whether I run, walk or limp over it!!

I would definitely not consider myself a runner and had only dabbled in the occasional jog before Sarah passed; but over the past year running has certainly been something that has helped me both physically and certainly mentally! Because of the help it’s given me, I thought it would be a good chance to give something back!

Action for M.E is the only Charity in the UK supporting people with M.E of all ages. Their services have often been referred to as a "lifeline" by those who have access to them. The Team are there for anyone living with M.E, they can offer understanding, empathy and source practical assistance local to you. People with M.E experience debilitating pain, fatigue and a range of other symptoms associated with post-exertional Malaise; the body and brains inability to recover after expending even small amounts of energy.

Please help me to raise as much as we can for this amazing Charity whilst also remembering beautiful Sarah and all that were close to her.

Action for M.E.

We aim to end the ignorance, injustice and neglect experienced by children and adults with M.E.

We're working to ensure children, young people, adults and families living with the illness are supported during this unprecedented time and beyond. Our dedicated team is here for anyone living with, or supporting someone with, M.E. of any age, anywhere in the UK.
