Story

I am running the 2026 TCS London Marathon for Brain Research UK!

Brain Research UK is the UKs leading national funder dedicated to research into neurological conditions. The charity fund vital research to increase understanding, improve diagnosis and treatment, and work towards the prevention of neurological conditions, to help people who suffer with them live better, longer.

Brain Research UK cover a wide range of neurological conditions from brain tumours, Alzheimer’s disease, migraines to strokes.

If you know me you’ll know the significance of what this charity represents has on me. When I lost my Grandad in April 2024 I witnessed the deterioration and also the lack of support or treatment available. The life my Grandad was once able to live was slowly taken away.

At the same time a family friend was diagnosed with a terminal brain tumour which was originally misdiagnosed. Through incredible medical research she was able to get treatment through the private field. This treatment extended her life expectancy giving her many more years with her family. Despite there being some options available more needs to be done to make them accessible.

So many people will know someone who has suffered from a neurological condition or even has one themselves. I have always wanted to run the London Marathon and I couldn’t have found a better charity out there. I will be doing this in memory of my Grandad and family friend.

Help me to make a difference - your support means that Brain Research UK can continue to fund life-changing research so that people living with neurological conditions can live better and longer.
