Story
In April we will be running the London Landmarks Half Marathon on behalf of Brain Tumour Research.
In 2019 our friend Charlie was diagnosed with a grade 2 Astrocytoma after suffering a seizure. Sadly, despite numerous operations, chemotherapy and radiotherapy the tumour has progressed to a grade 4 Astrocytoma and he has received a terminal prognosis.
In taking part in this and raising money we are hoping to make a difference to those going through exactly what Charlie is and to hopefully get a step closer to finding a cure.
Charlie is without doubt the bravest person we have met and is beyond inspiring with how he continues to battle on with a smile on his face.
Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer… yet just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease. This is unacceptable!
I am fundraising for Brain Tumour Research as they are the only national charity dedicated to funding long-term, sustainable research in the UK. Please help me fund the fight. Together we will find a cure.
