Story
In March 2018, I lost my dad to cancer. During his illness, Dorothy House supported him and our family. Dorothy House provide free, compassionate care for people with life-limiting illnesses, as well as emotional and practical support for their loved ones—helping families make the most of the time they have together.
To honour my dad’s memory, I want to support other people going through similar circumstances, To do this, I’m raising money for Dorothy House by taking on the Great Norse Run in August 2026.
The Great Norse Run is an endurance challenge across Iceland. Over 10 days, I will travel from the north coast, across the interior of the island, all the way to the south coast—covering 209 miles (336 km) on foot. It’s not just a physical challenge, but a journey through wild and unforgiving terrain, testing my endurance, resilience, and determination. The training for this will total at least 2,500km (50km a week). That’s why I’ve set my fundraising target at £2,500—£1 for every kilometre.
Every donation, no matter the size, will help Dorothy House continue to provide vital end-of-life care and support to families like mine. By contributing, you’ll not only be supporting me in this challenge, but more importantly helping to ensure that others receive compassion and care at the hardest times.
All expenses incurred by this trip are being covered by me personally, all donations will go to charity. Thank you so much for your support.
