On the 7th Sep, a few of my friends and I will be taking part in Tough Mudder Birmingham to raise money for charity - support would be wonderful!

Unfortunately this rare condition was a contributing factor to the death of my grandma earlier this year so I’m trying to raise awareness and help raise money towards vital research to find and develop a treatment for future families having to go through this too

CADASIL Support UK is a small charity that supports families affected by the rare genetic disease CADASIL (Cerebral Autosomal Dominant Arteriopathy with Subcortical Infarcts and Leukoencephalopathy), a condition that can devastate the lives of those affected by it, and which currently has no treatment.

The stroke research team at Addenbrookes have identified potential treatments for CADASIL but need funding to further develop these. CADASIL Support UK are raising money for Addenbrookes to support this vital work.
