Story
Adventure is calling and some hardy and possibly deranged souls answered! G2G! Gilmorton to Grindelwald! Big Swiss Ride!
We challenged ourselves to cycle to Switzerland to raise awareness & funds for the Men's mental health charity "MANUP?".
Our challenge is a tough one and it shines a light on the tougher challenge: Male suicide remains the leading cause of death for men under 50 in the UK. It is a public health crisis that continues to take lives every single day and MANUP? are engaging with people to address issues around Men's mental health.
Our challenge: a small group of average blokes of varying levels of fitness and ability (athletes, one and all...) are taking on 9 days of riding to the Swiss Alps, 1400km to be covered, over 15000m to be climbed, which is more that 11 times the height of Ben Nevis or nearly twice the height of Mount Everest!
Unlike professionally organised charity bike rides who need to recoup the costs first before the charity gets a look in, the riders have all decided to cover the costs ourselves so that the charity gets all of the funds we raise. We are riding unsupported for the first 6 days through the UK, France and into the borders of Switzerland. A support vehicle will arrive at the end of day 6 with much required clean gear and spares, the support vehicle likewise is self funded by the crew.
So please help us raise awareness & funds for a great charity, anything you can spare will be massively appreciated, be it the price of a coffee or a pint, absolutely anything is welcome.

We have however, set up a separate Go Fund Me to help with rider expenses if anyone wants to help, we do not want to detract from the charity though. Anything donated will go towards accommodation, ferry and insurance costs etc. These funds are very much separate and not linked to the charity fund raiser other than any spare at the end will go to the charity, a full accounting will be kept, watch out for info.
