I am running in memory of my Nan, Nana Val, who was diagnosed with stage 4 lung and liver cancer just before Christmas and sadly passed away shortly after. When my mum and I received her diagnosis, Marie Curie were incredible — they explained the process, supported us, and showed us so much care during a very difficult time. I want others in similar situations to have the same support we did. Helping others meant so much to my Nan, so this is my small way of giving back to Marie Curie and honouring my Nan.
