Ironman Hamburg 2026 – Supporting The HUGE Partnership
On 7 June 2026, I will be taking on Ironman Hamburg — a 3.8 km open water swim, 180 km bike ride, and a full 42.2 km marathon.
In pursuing this challenge, I have decided to raise money for The HUGE Partnership.
The HUGE Partnership does incredible work in Nabugabo, Uganda. Specifically, it supports a primary school that provides free education to 140 children who otherwise would not be able to attend school, a secondary school education bursary fund that helps students continue their studies after primary, and community outreach programmes that improve housing, welfare, and livelihoods for families most at risk in the local community.
I have had the privilege of visiting the school in Uganda myself, and seeing firsthand the impact this charity has made was deeply inspiring. Meeting the students, teachers, and members of the local community brought home the importance of education as a gateway to generational change, and just how much small gestures and contributions can transform lives.
Training for an Ironman requires months of dedication and countless hours of swimming, cycling, and running. My journey began not knowing how to swim, having spent very little time on a bike, and, admittedly, being somewhat useful at running. Working through the challenges of training, knowing that this effort can help support such an important cause, gives every session and every mile a greater purpose.
The HUGE Partnership is entirely volunteer run and 100% of all donations will go directly towards education and welfare in rural Uganda. It costs approximately £300 to fund a year's education for a child in primary school. Any donation, no matter the size, would mean a great deal and will go directly towards helping The HUGE Partnership continue its fantastic work.
Thank you so much for your support :)
