Story
I'm walking 31 miles in October for a charity that is very close to home for me and my family. Back in June 2024, we lost my beautiful Mum, Sarah to Pancreatic Cancer after being diagnosed 7 weeks earlier. This was something none of us could wrap our heads around and has been the most heartbreaking journey. Losing someone so quickly with no preparation made it extremely hard for us to adapt to a new life without her with us. My mum fought so hard during her treatment and stayed so positive throughout, hope was the only thing we could all hold onto.
Pancreatic cancer is one of the most aggressive cancers out there, right now, half of people with pancreatic cancer die within three months of diagnosis. Pancreatic Cancer UK are putting together as much research as possible to try and give people a better chance, whether that be developing new tools for early detection or discovering more treatments.
My mum absolutely loved walking and was always trying to drag me and my sister up mountains. For her to be able to see me walking for her would make her extremely proud ( and would probably be doing an evil giggle).
Any donations would go such a long way and does mean a lot to me and my sister. Thank You 💜
