Story
On the 26th April, I will be standing on the start line of the London Marathon knowing that every mile I run carries a purpose far greater than the finish time on my watch.
I am running the London Marathon for Brathay Hall because I believe deeply in the power of resilience, opportunity and support. Brathay works with young people who are facing significant challenges, helping them to build confidence, develop life skills and believe in their own potential. Their work changes lives — often at a time when it matters most.
Running has taught me many things: discipline, mental strength and how to keep going when things feel uncomfortable. Marathon training is not glamorous. It is early mornings, tired legs and long runs in unpredictable weather. There are moments of doubt and moments when giving up would feel easier. But that is exactly why this challenge feels so meaningful. The young people Brathay supports face obstacles far greater than 26.2 miles. If I can push through temporary discomfort, knowing it contributes in some small way to giving someone else a better opportunity, then every mile is worth it.
This marathon is not just a personal goal; it is a commitment to raising awareness and funds for a charity that empowers young people to realise their potential and create brighter futures.
If you are able to donate, no matter how small the amount, you will be helping to create real and lasting change. Thank you for supporting me and, most importantly, for supporting Brathay Hall ❤️
