Gagle Brook's fundraiser for Katharine House Hospice - Banbury

Gagle Brook Primary School is raising money for Katharine House Hospice - Banbury

Katherine House Hospice School Santa Run · 19 December 2025

Katharine House provides specialist palliative care for adults with life-limiting conditions across North Oxfordshire and South Northamptonshire. We provide inpatient services, specialist nurses out in the community, a Living Well programme, a specialist hospital team and bereavement support.

Story

We are delighted to inform parents that Gagle Brook Primary School is taking part in the Katherine House Hospice Schools Santa Run again this year. This is a fun, festive challenge and we hope that the children really enjoy taking part as a whole school event.

More than ever, Katharine House Hospice desperately need the help of our community to ensure vital services continue. It costs more than £4.7m per year to run every element of Katharine House Hospice. This equates to:

£91,217 per week

£12,995 per day or

£541 per hour.

They rely on the local community to help raise money to fund the hospice. Together, they need to fundraise nearly £13,000 each and every day to make sure they can continue to provide their vital care.

At Gagle Brook School we are asking for voluntary contribution of £2 per child minimum for them to take part. All of these donations will then go to the hospice. If you do feel you would like to donate more that £2 per child that would be very welcome.

Our Santa run is going to take place on Friday 19th December 2025.
