Great Scottish Run 2024 · 6 October 2024 ·

Alzheimer Scotland is the leading, national dementia charity in Scotland. Our mission is to make sure nobody faces dementia alone. We provide advice, information and support and we are here for people living with dementia, their families and carers across Scotland.

Story

Me and my pal Lauren will be running in the Great Scottish Run on 4th October - I’m doing the 10k and Lauren is doing the half marathon. To make it a bit more interesting we’ll be wearing 10kg weight vests so hopefully this will mean you’ll all dig a wee bit deeper in the donations! We did it a few years ago for the half marathon so thought we’d see if we’ve still got it in us now we’re older but absolutely not wiser (hence my choice to move down to the 10km run😂😂)

My mum lost her battle with Alzheimer’s a fair few years ago now and I felt it’s time again to put some money back towards fighting this horrendous disease.
