Help Us Build a School Kitchen in Rural Gambia!

As we continue our mission to raise funds for our school project in The Gambia, our Three Peaks Challenge is focused on taking the next vital step - building a kitchen on site so children can receive a hot, nutritious meal every day.

We are incredibly close to reaching our £8,000 target. With your support, we can cross the finish line and make a lasting difference to the lives of so many young people.

In December 2024, thanks to everyone’s incredible generosity, we built a classroom to teach English and Maths to children in a remote part of Gambia. The children are so grateful, and we now have a fantastic teacher in place!

Now, we’re fundraising to build a school kitchen—a vital next step in ensuring these children have access to nutritious meals while they learn.

Right now, storing and transporting rice is a huge challenge. This kitchen will provide a secure space to store rice and other food, and a dedicated area where meals can be prepared on-site.

Our Vision for the Kitchen:

✅ Tiled floor & part-tiled walls – ensuring cleanliness and hygiene.

✅ Lockable doors & windows – keeping food, firewood, and cooking utensils safe.

✅ Separate cooking area with a high canopy – allowing cooking to continue in all weather, with proper ventilation for smoke.

✅ Part-concrete floor, part-earth – creating a comfortable space where people can sit to prepare food while keeping a safe area for firewood cooking.

We need £8,000 to make this a reality. If we exceed our goal, any extra funds will go towards cooking pots and rice starter packs for the children.
