Help Us Build a School Kitchen in Rural Gambia!

In December 2024, thanks to everyone’s incredible generosity, we built a classroom to teach English and Maths to children in a remote part of Gambia. The children are so grateful, and we now have a fantastic teacher in place!

Now, we’re fundraising to build a school kitchen—a vital next step in ensuring these children have access to nutritious meals while they learn.

Right now, storing and transporting rice is a huge challenge. This kitchen will provide a secure space to store rice and other food, and a dedicated area where meals can be prepared on-site.

Our Vision for the Kitchen:

✅ Tiled floor & part-tiled walls – ensuring cleanliness and hygiene.

✅ Lockable doors & windows – keeping food, firewood, and cooking utensils safe.

✅ Separate cooking area with a high canopy – allowing cooking to continue in all weather, with proper ventilation for smoke.

✅ Part-concrete floor, part-earth – creating a comfortable space where people can sit to prepare food while keeping a safe area for firewood cooking.

How You Can Help:

We need £8,000 to make this a reality. If we exceed our goal, any extra funds will go towards cooking pots and rice starter packs for the children.
