At number 72 Newington road, Ramsgate, we are hosting a Halloween fundraiser on behalf of Pilgrims Hospice on the 31st of October 2026 💀👻🎃

From 4 to 8pm

This is BOB ☠️ his friends are on their way ✨

Last year 2025 🎃

Last year we raised £337 for pilgrims after their wonderful care our beloved friend David at the end of his life.

We had Halloween music decor and lots of treats🍬🍬 A lot of people kindly donated and we were so pleased with the money we raised; this year we are asking our community to again find some spare change and donate to such an important cause. 80% of the hospices funding is fundraising and voluntary contribution👩‍⚕️

The prep 🍬

The prep begins early in the year 👻 with Both Yolanda and Gareth hunting for things from bootfairs, fb market place, antique and charity shops and even petite coat lane. The trips with decor on trains, delivered, or picked up by family are frequent! Then they are stored in their house for months on end… for example BOB ☠️ sat on the family dining table for 2 months waiting to make an appearance 💀 in October the real work begins with Yolanda and Gareth then taking ordinary decor and turning into the horror display we will see on Halloween night 🎃

Yolanda will sit for hours hand painting props 💀

whilst Gareth will use his engineering and carpentry skills to create unique displays 🎃

this was a real head turner 💀

we have even made it on google AI and we are on FB and TikTok 🤭

About the hospice 👩‍⚕️

At its heart, Pilgrims is dedicated to providing skilled and compassionate care, free of charge, to people living with an incurable illness in east Kent. Their vision is that people with a life-limiting illness are supported and empowered to live well in mind & body, making the most of the time they have. They care for over 2,500 patients a year, at their 3 inpatient units in Canterbury, Thanet & Ashford, their therapy centres, or in patients’ own homes. With 80% of their funding being voluntary contributions, your support cannot be overstated.
