Story
The Grand Finale: 13.1 miles to the Finish Line!
In March 2027, I am heading to Lisbon for the grand finale of an incredible journey: the 6th and final race of my SuperHalfs challenge.
Over the last few years, this adventure has taken me across Europe, collecting virtual stamps in my SuperPassport by completing Half Marathons on the streets of Valencia (2023), Cardiff (2024), and Copenhagen (2025). Things got particularly intense in March 2026 by taking on the ultimate double-header - completing Prague and Berlin in the same weekend (yes, Berlin was the day after Prague!).
Crossing the finish line at the Lisbon Half Marathon will mean getting that final stamp, earning the giant SuperMedal, and officially entering the SuperHalfs Hall of Fame – and because Lisbon is famously one of the fastest courses in the world, I’m using this final chapter to push my limits and chase down a new personal best (PB).
Running for a Marvellous Cause
To make this final leg of the journey even more special, I’ve teamed up with Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity to secure my place on the start line. This fantastic organisation funds specialist Roald Dahl Nurses who provide free, expert care and support to seriously ill children across the UK. Today, there are over 250 of these dedicated nurses helping more than 50,000 children and their families navigate complex medical journeys. It's a vital lifeline, and I’m proud to be supporting them.
The 1,000-Mile Foundation
To make sure I am in the shape of my life for this final chapter in Lisbon, I’ve set myself a massive baseline challenge: running 1,000 miles over the course of 2026. That means averaging around 20 miles every single week, rain or shine (or ridiculous heat) to build the foundation for a new PB. I'm tracking every single mile on Strava, chipping away at the mountain week by week until the calendar ticks into 2027.
The Goal
To take my place on the start line, I have a personal fundraising target of £450.
This race represents a huge personal milestone. Knowing that every mile helps support these amazing children and families will make those final few miles in Lisbon much easier.
Any donation you can spare, no matter how small, would mean the world to me. Thank you so much for your support!
