On April 24th, 2026, a few weeks after his 80th birthday, Gareth Hughes from Prestatyn is aiming to do a 24-hour walk in aid of Christian Aid. The charity does great work in numerous countries and is now more important than ever before.

Gareth, a member of Rehoboth Welsh Presbyterian Church, aims to set off from Saltney, near Chester, at 6pm and, with a few short diversions, follow the North Wales Coastal Path. Family members and friends will join him at various points.
