Story
At Saffron Catering, we don’t just feed people – we feed hope, we feed community, and we believe in doing good beyond the plate. That’s why we’re throwing everything we’ve got behind something truly special.
In February, two of our own – Stacey and Sam Garey – are taking on a once-in-a-lifetime challenge: a grueling 400km cycle through Vietnam and Cambodia as part of the Vietbodia Cycle Challenge to raise money for Kids Village.
And let us be clear – this is no holiday.
This is days of back-to-back riding in tropical heat, on unknown roads, through exhaustion, pain, and mental walls that most of us will never have to face. It’s two weeks away from family, comfort, and routine – after months of relentless training before the sun even rises, after work, on weekends, and during every spare moment they have.
All to help build the UK’s first-ever holiday village for seriously ill children.
Let that sink in.
A place where families can step out of the hospital world and into something magical – to just be together. To laugh. To heal. To feel normal again, even for a little while. Because childhood should be about joy, not just survival.
And that’s what this is about.
We’re not just proud of Stacey and Sam – we’re in awe of them. What they’re doing is a huge act of courage and compassion, and we at Saffron Catering are backing them with everything we’ve got.
We’re hosting bake sales, quizzes, raffles – anything and everything to raise funds. You name it, we’re game. Because this cause matters. Deeply.
So if you believe in kindness, if you believe in children having a chance to just be children, if you believe in backing people who give a damn – then stand with us. Donate. Share. Show up.
This isn’t just a fundraiser.
This is a movement.
This is heart in action.
This is what it looks like when good people do hard things for an even better reason.
Let’s do something that matters.
