100 mile bike ride from Wolverhampton to Aberdovey · 21 June 2024

We are a group of volunteers who hit the streets of Birmingham on Weds & Thurs evenings & Sunday mornings & offer whatever we can to help them whether it be hot food, drinks, clothes, accommodation support or just a friendly chat. It’s not a handout it’s about a hand up whenever your ready ♥️

Story

All done for another year! Thanks to everyone for your on going support. I survived.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

This is the 25th anniversary of my first charity bike ride I did with my brother, Stuart, when we cycled across India. Since then we took part in an ultimate challenge in Borneo 21 years ago. I continued cycling challenges, riding from Edinburgh to Cardiff to London in 2006, The Tour of Britain route in 2009 and I have taken part in the Aberdovey Bike ride on 14 occasions since 2006, the last 10 with my good friend Paul.

I have raised money for a number of different charities over the years. For the last 6 years I have been working in Birmingham. Walking through Birmingham and seeing the large number of homeless on the streets has made me feel that I would like to do more to help people in this situation which is why have chosen Helping Hands of Birmingham as the charity I am supporting this year.
