This summer, I am cycling all the way to Italy to raise vital funds for Alzheimer Scotland—a charity deeply close to my heart.

Both of my parents lived with dementia. It is a uniquely cruel disease that takes the person away and changes them long before they are gone; it truly feels like you have to lose them twice. My parents were extremely inspirational to me and watching them slowly forget the incredible lives they had built together was heartbreaking.

Because my family went through this painful journey twice, I want to do everything I can to support other families currently facing the same reality. Alzheimer Scotland provides essential care and support when people need it most.
