Story
Thank you for visiting my 2026 BMW Berlin Marathon fundraising page. I am taking on this amazing challenge for the National Autistic Society, the UK's largest autism charity supporting the 700,000 people and their families across the country.
The BMW Berlin Marathon is one of the largest marathons in the world and will see me run the historic streets of Berlin and finish at the Brandenburg Gate.
I’m running the Berlin Marathon for my son, Jake, to raise both funds and awareness for the incredible work of the National Autistic Society.
Jake was diagnosed with autism at the age of 3. It was a very challenging time for both him and our family. We joined our local NAS branch (Ards and North Down) and were welcomed with open arms. Since then, they have provided invaluable support—not just for Jake, but for all of us.
Through NAS, Jake has had opportunities to take part in swimming lessons, D&D club, cinema trips, cycling, and day outings. Most importantly, he has built friendships that will last a lifetime. Now aged 14, we cannot thank them enough for the positive impact they’ve had on his life.
The National Autistic Society receives no direct government funding and relies heavily on charitable donations. Every contribution, no matter how small, helps them continue to provide these vital services to families like ours.
Their vision is to create a society that works for autistic people—by supporting individuals and families, improving understanding, and delivering autism-friendly services.
If you’re able to donate, it would mean a great deal to us. And if not, simply sharing this page would be hugely appreciated.
Thank you so much for your support.
